Dr. Reuben C. Balagot, 65, chairman of the Department ofAnesthesiology at Cook County Hospital, died Wednesday after a longillness.

Dr. Balagot served in a similar capacity at Hines and DowneyVeterans Administration hospitals. He also held various teachingpositions at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, RushMedical School and Chicago Medical School.
