NSW: Police search for second missing surfer after body found

SYDNEY, April 25 AAP - A 16-year-old surfer was found dead on a beach south of Sydney today
as as police tonight searched for a second missing surfer.

A Wollongong police spokesman said the youth's body was found at about 9.20pm (AEST) at
Thirroul, hours after his parents alerted police he was missing.

A surfboard was found on rocks at nearby Sandon Point, the spokesman said.

Police and emergency services are tonight searching for a second surfer believed missing.

The Westpac helicopter was last night brought in to help the search.
