NSW:Break in at Ed Cowan's family home

A man has broken into the family home of ED COWAN, a day after he was selected for
the Australian cricket team for the first time.

Seven News says police were called to the COWAN family's Darling Point home in eastern
Sydney at midday, after a neighbour saw a man climbing through the window.

The man, who allegedly claimed he had a gun, barricaded himself inside a bedroom and
held police at bay for almost four hours.

Police say it is believed that the man was not armed, despite his claims to the contrary.
