Chase Manhattan would get a $37 million break on its electricity bill if it moves 4,600 of its employees to Brooklyn instead of New Jersey, it was reported Saturday.

If Chase signs the deal, it would get an immediate break on its electricity bill in Manhattan, even though the proposed Brooklyn facility would not be completed for years, New York Newsday reported. That would make it the first such deal to include company sites other than those where jobs are threatened or proposed.
